About Us
For years, the bagel has been considered the most popular Jewish food worldwide.
The tradition of making bagels was developed by Jews in Europe and eventually made its way to the United States, which is now considered the ultimate bagel haven. In the U.S., bagel shops can be found on nearly every street corner, serving as a go-to spot for breakfast or a light, nutritious lunch.
We founded Sam’s Bagels in 2004 with the aim of bringing the authentic American bagel experience to Israel, with its original flavors and aromas.
Bagel-making requires special knowledge—from the unique flour blends to the traditional baking process. Sam’s Bagel’s special recipe comes from the Greenstein family, who have been making bagels for five generations and are members of the New York Bagel Bakers Association. Sam learned the craft step by step.
Sam’s Bagels established a bakery for producing American bagels, pastries, and cookies. Shortly after, four American-style branches were opened across Jerusalem, operating with the same model as New York bagel shops.
At Sam’s Bagels, you’ll also find catering that stays true to the American kitchen. We offer a variety of catering platters for perfect hosting: salad platters, vegetable platters, cheeses, smoked fish, dessert platters, fruit platters—and most importantly, real American bagels baked fresh on-site.
